You should be able to check where an answer came from.
We use public insurer documents, show when information was checked and link back to the source where we can. If something still needs checking, we say that too.

Policy documents are legal contracts. They need to be legally accurate, consistent and compliant. That often makes them difficult to understand.
We use those documents as the source, then explain the wording in everyday language. Examples and comparisons can help you understand it, but the original policy document is still the place to check before you make a decision.
Built from real insurer documentation
24 UK pet-insurance providers monitored
24 researched across all 11 comparison topics; 24 where all the information we hold has been checked against official insurer information.
255 answers checked against official insurer information
Across 24 insurers and 11 topics. A further 9 topics are not clearly published in the information we reviewed, and we say so rather than guessing.
86 unique policy documents indexed
Distinct official source URLs — policy wordings, IPIDs, FAQs and terms — counted once each across the provider registry. Every answer records the official information it came from, and many link straight to the insurer's own page or document. Where an answer names a document but we have not yet linked it, we say so on the answer instead of implying a direct link.
11 comparison topics covered
Structured, side-by-side comparisons across every enabled topic.

What we do with it
Built by people with decades in data and insurance
ClearPetCover was built by people who have spent decades working with data and insurance.
We built it because pet insurance can be hard to compare, and even harder to untangle when something goes wrong.
We use data and AI to work through large amounts of policy information, then turn it into guides and tools pet owners can actually use.
Analytics is optional. ClearPetCover works normally if you reject cookies, and you can change your choice at any time — see how we handle data.
